Lambing talks and visiting the lambs can bring the following examples of curriculum links to life!
- Science; Our selves and other animals
- Science; Life and the living process
- Science; Reproduction
- Geography; Seasons/Spring
Further example of where we can support Key stage 1.
- Unit 03 Citizenship; Animals and us- children can look at animals on the farm and wildlife. Talk about their routines, homes and our responsibilities to animals.
Further examples of where we can support Key stage 2
- Unit 5B; Science, Life Cycle - children can walk around the apple orchard; look at fruit, seeds, grafting, insects and bees. We can show demonstrations of pollination, and different development stages
- Unit 4B – Science, Habitats – children can look at various habitats within the farm. Walk around and explore the wildlife area, pond, field, buildings, hedges, flowerbeds, trees and consider different conditions.
