Forthcoming developments at the Farm Park

Expanded Indoor Activity Play Centre

This expansion is planned to happen in February 2010; we are all really excited as the specification is for whole family use, and will include;

An indoor sky rail, wobbly bridge, ball pit as well as more soft play equipment and the tube, astra and drop slide we had previously!

It will be a fantastic venue for your children’s party!!

Due to the nagging power of our growing children we are also planning an outdoor go-kart area which is expanding the out door play area too!

New Coffee Shop

This is for those of you who may not want to visit the farm park, but would like somewhere to sit and have a chat with friends in a pleasant, warm and welcoming atmosphere.

It is located in the gallery so you can have a wonderful view of all that is going on!!

Unfortunately access is via stairs but we do still have our seated eating area in the main barn – which is also very pleasant!

So do come and visit us, most of the food and cakes are homemade with locally sourced ingredients and always served with a smile!!

New Apple Orchard

In 2009 we planted an apple and fruit orchard consisting of 30 different varieties of fruit trees that are indigenous to the area and have historical heritage to the Wisbech area. They are slow growing but seem to be taking hold. We are attempting to grow them organically so will be watching the effects on the wildlife over the next couple of years.

If anyone is thinking of carrying out an Environmental Audit as part of their pre-graduate qualification, please contact us as we may have the perfect project for you!!

We have further developed our wildlife walk; which now includes a beetle bank, to enable you to view some of our environmental projects and see more closely the increase of wild life we are experiencing.

If you and a group of friends or organisation would like to see this work when you visit or learn more about the environmental farming we are pursing please contact Reception. Tel (01945) 860309 or info@woodhousefarmpark.co.uk and we can arrange for a farm walk and or talk.
